Brother and sister Linet and Moses Masai are Kenyan runners who both specialize in the 10,000m.

Moses was born in 1986 and is three years older than Linet.

Linet is the current World Champion and brother Moses won World Championship bronze in 2007. Both finished fourth at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

The Masai siblings went to school together in the Mount Elgon district of Kenya's Western Province.

Linet and Moses were the first students to represent Bishop Okiring at the national championships. With humble facilities we've produced world class athletes.
Naboth Okadie, head teacher

The school is athletics mad and takes great pride in the Masai siblings' sporting achievements.

Linet and Moses are the current pupils' role models and they look forward to the athletes' regular visits to the school.

Bishop Okiring is in a hilly rural area but there isn't a school bus service so many pupils walk to school from the surrounding villages.

Pupils are looking forward to 2012 and would like to buy a large screen TV to watch their heroes compete.

Find out more about the school and their plans for 2012.

Kapsogom Primary School

Linet and Moses went to primary school in the rural town of Kapsokwony.

Our school achieves great things in difficult circumstances. With improved facilities our pupils will be able to accomplish even more.
Martin Bitei, head teacher

Head teacher Mr Bitei says among its current 500 pupils there are a number of promising young athletes who have the potential to achieve the same success as Linet and Moses.

Pupils are currently being taught in temporary classrooms and the school is raising funds to improve the school's facilities and employ more teachers in the run up to 2012.

Keep checking back to find out about how their fundraising is going and more about the school.

World Olympic Dreams

Linet and Moses are two of the athletes being tracked as London 2012 approaches and they strive to make their Olympic dreams a reality.
