British duo lose in quarter-final

Jenny Wallwork and Gabby White's run at the All England badminton championships ended in defeat to the Olympic women's doubles champions.

The Leeds pair lost 21-6 21-8 to China's Du Jing and Yu Yang in only 27 minutes of the quarter-final.

"We're disappointed but we always knew that was going to be a really tough match," said the 22-year-old Wallwork.

"They are the Olympic champions and the best in the world. They showed us what we have got to work towards."

She added: "It has not knocked our confidence at all. We've just got to keep working hard and hopefully one day we'll be there."
