British badminton duo Anthony Clark and Donna Kellogg were beaten in the French Open mixed doubles final.

The fourth seeds and European champions lost 21-13 21-19 to Chinese second seeds He Hanbin and Yu Yang in Paris.

Nottinghamshire's Clark and Kellogg, from Derbyshire, had defeated double world champions Nova Widianto and Liliyana Natsir in the semi-finals.

They were also beaten by He and Yu in the first round of the mixed doubles event at the Beijing Olympics.

Despite their loss in the final, the world's ninth-ranked pairing will have boosted their chances of making the top eight who will qualify for the Super Series Masters final in December.
