Mayo player Billy Joe Padden is reported to be on the verge of joining the Armagh panel for the 2011 season.

The 29-year-old is regarded as a versatile player who can operate as a forward or midfielder.

Meanwhile, Ireland's International Rules skipper Steven McDonnell has been confirmed as Armagh's captain for a second year.

The Killeavy man led Armagh to the Allianz Football League Division Two title in 2010.
