No appeals by Tyrone brawl clubs

The clubs involved in the mass brawl which marred Tyrone's Football league final will not be appealing against the suspensions handed out.

Fifteen individuals from the Carrickmore and Errigal Ciaran clubs were handed down suspensions totalling 124 weeks earlier this week.

Players, management, backroom personnel and one supporter were dealt with by Tyrone disciplinary chiefs.

Violence erupted at the end of normal time in Friday's drawn game.

The game ended level after extra-time, and with no appeals to be heard, the replay is set to go ahead on Saturday at Pomeroy.

Both teams will be severely depleted for the rematch, with several players ruled out of the game.

The drawn final saw seven players sent-off during the match and a mass brawl at the end of normal time.

Five Carrickmore members received suspensions totalling 44 weeks.

Six Errigal players were handed bans totalling 36 weeks - including one three month ban and a two month ban.

A further four players were given four-week suspensions.

Three Carrickmore members were given 12-week bans and the other two have been suspended for a month each.

Tyrone County Board chose not to make the names public.

The brawl involved players and mentors from both teams.
