Kilkenny have been awarded six Vodafone 2009 Hurling All Stars, with Henry Shefflin claiming the honour for the ninth time and Tommy Walsh the sixth. Tipperary have received two awards less than the champions, with Padraig Maher, Lar Corbett and Noel McGrath in the team for the first time. Tipp's Conor O'Mahoney concludes their contingent, winning an All Star for the second successive year. Waterford's Michael Walsh and John Mullane make their second appearance. Brothers Ollie and Joe Canning represent Galway and Dublin midfielder Alan McCrabbe wins his county's first award since Brian McMahon was selected in 1990. The Football All Stars will be announced on Friday evening.
