Eamon Campbell's Donegal side had defeated Tyrone in the Ulster SFC
|
Tyrone won the inaugural Lory Meagher Cup and promotion to the Nicky Rackard series for next season with a 5-11 to 3-16 win over Donegal at Croke Park. The Red Hand hurlers came from nine points behind to squeeze over the finish line. Tyrone led by five after a Rory O'Neill goal but Lee Henderson's strike helped Donegal lead 1-9 to 1-6 at half-time. Second-half goals from Justin Kelly, Rory O'Neill, Peadar McMahon and Shea McKiver help Tyrone edge the verdict.
