Derry's Kevin McGuckin has had his appeal again suspension turned down.

Derry will be without defender Kevin McGuckin for Saturday's All-Ireland Qualifier after his appeal against a four-week suspension failed. McGuckin's appeal against the red card he received against Tyrone was heard by the GAA's Central Hearings Committee on Thursday night. Meanwhile it remains unclear whether Paddy Bradley will make the starting fifteen as he struggles with injury. Monaghan are unchanged for Saturday's match at Clones (1500 BST). The Oak Leaf team will not be named until shortly before throw-in on Saturday. Bradley carried a quad injury into Derry's Ulster semi-final defeat against Tyrone, which has since cleared up, but the former All Star has revealed that he is also hampered by a knee injury. "I have had a ligament tear in my right knee for some time now, it needs an eight-week rehabiliation period and with gym work I would hope that it would mend. "I probably shouldn't have played against Tyrone but thankfully the injury to the quad muscle is no longer bothering me. "I've been kicking really well off both feet in training this week and am very much looking forward to the rematch with Monaghan." Bradley quit the panel last Sunday, only to rejoin the squad 24 hours later, but the full forward has declined to comment on what prompted him to consider walking away from the county squad and emphasised that he was more than happy with the current county set-up. "I have a good relationship with Damian Cassidy and respect his decisions as manager. "I just hopes that he picks me for Saturday's game and if he doesn't then I'd hope to feature at some point." Fergal Doherty is available again after suspension while fit-again James Kielt may also return to the team. Meanwhile, defender Niall McCusker will play no further part in this year's Championship because of a groin problem. The Ballinderry man has been dogged by injuries and requires an operation. McGuckin was sent-off after a clash with opponent Sean Cavanagh during the Ulster semi-final. Cavanagh had written a letter supporting McGuckin's case, but that proved not enough to get the suspension lifted. Doherty and Brian Mullan return to the Derry panel after suspensions. Kielt, out for five weeks with a broken jaw, is now back in contention for a place in Cassidy's starting 15. James Conway has not been asked to rejoin the panel while Enda Muldoon remains sidelined for another two weeks because of an ankle injury. The sides met in a tempestuous Ulster SFC clash on 24 May when Derry claimed a 1-10 to 0-10 win at Celtic Park.
