County star Fergal Doherty impressed in Bellaghy's win

Bellaghy secured a 0-18 to 0-11 victory over Lavey in the NMF Derry SFC game at Magherafelt on Monday night. Joe Diver and Fergal Doherty dominated for Bellaghy in midfield and they led 0-10 to 0-5 at half-time. Bellaghy eased to the win with Eoghan Brown and Ciaran Glackin both hitting six points while Caolan O'Boyle fired over five points for Lavey. Loup defeated Castledawson 1-12 to 1-6 on Sunday while Ballinascreen and Dungiven drew 0-10 to 1-7. Castledawson and Loup were locked at five points each at half-time but Loup got a goal through Ruairi Shivers. Castledawson pulled level again when Fintan Devlin netted but Loup pulled away to win comfortably. Dungiven snatched a replay against Ballinascreen thanks to 45 scored by Cathal Grieve in the third minute of stoppage-time at Slaughtneil. Eamon Murray scored Ballinascreen's goal in the draw and the teams meet again on Wednesday night. On Saturday, Glenullin beat Swatragh 1-14 to 2-5. A Ruairi Convery penalty put Swatragh 1-1 to 0-2 ahead but Glenullin regained control to lead 0-6 to 1-1 midway through the first half. Eugene O'Kane found the net to make it 2-3 to 0-8 to Swatragh at the interval but Terry Mullan netted and Eoin Bradley scored 0-6 to ensure victory. Meanwhile Coleraine deservedly beat Slaughtneil 0-12 to 0-11, having led 0-7 to 0-6 at half-time. Swatragh had Robert McWilliams red-carded in their defeat but Glenullin made it safely through to the quarter-finals on the seeded side of the draw. Newbridge beat Kilrea 1-10 to 0-10 in an entertaining game, with Kevin Sweeney scoring the decisive goal of the game in the second half. Kilrea led 0-7 to 0-5 at half-time and consolidated their lead to win.
