Donegal 2-13 1-6 Carlow

John Joe Doherty's side were beaten by Antrim in the Ulster SFC

Donegal recovered from a poor first half to run out comfortable winners against Carlow in Saturday's All-Ireland Football qualifier.

JJ Smith's goal helped Carlow lead by three points early on although Donegal levelled at 0-6 to 1-3 by half-time.

However, Rory Kavanagh hit a Donegal goal a minute after the break and Conall Dunne's 54th-minute strike increased the home team's lead.

Carlow's Mark Carpenter was sent off midway through the second half.

Michael Murphy hit eight points although Donegal shot some bad wides.
