Monaghan legend Eugene 'Nudie' Hughes is the new Armagh Harps manager.

Hughes, who won three Ulster titles with Monaghan and two club honours with Castleblayney Faughs, takes over from John Rath.

Rath stepped down after Harps were defeated by eventual Ulster club champions Crossmaglen in Armagh SFC semi-final.

Hughes, who was in his pomp in the late Seventies and Eighties, won three All-Star awards.
