O'Connor returns to Kingdom post

Jack O'Connor
O'Connor guided Kerry to the 2004 and 2006 All-Ireland titles

Jack O'Connor's expected appointment as the Kerry manager was confirmed by the Kingdom's county board on Monday night.

O'Connor, who will be taking the job for a second time, succeeds Pat O'Shea who stepped down from the role after this year's All-Ireland Final.

The new manager guided Kerry to the 2004 and 2006 titles, when his side defeated Mayo on both occasions.

O'Connor was appointed a day after his Kerins O'Rahilly's outfit were defeated in the Munster Club Championship.
