St Pat's aim for first Erne title

Donagh outfit St Patrick's will be attempting to win their first ever Quinn Insurance Fermanagh SFC title in Sunday's final against Derrygonnelly.

St Patrick's have been beaten in six previous deciders while Derrygonnelly are aiming to repeat their 1995 and 2004 triumphs.

Derrygonnelly will include county players Jonathan McGurn and Paul Ward.

The St Patrick's squad includes Fermanagh panelists Eamon Maguire, Shane McDermott and Pat Cadden.

Other key St Patrick's players include Paul Cosgrove who produced a man-of-the-match display in the semi-final win over Lisnaskea.

Both teams have produced impressive performances on the way to the final, Derrygonnelly having over come Kinawley in the first round, Irvinestown in the quarter finals and Tempo in the semi-final.

Paul Ward hit six points in Derrygonnelly's 0-15 to 1-7 semi-final win over Tempo and his free-taking could be a crucial factor in the game.

St Pat's have had the tougher route to the final having accounted for Teemore, former Ulster Club finalists Enniskillen Gaels and neighbours Lisnaskea.

The Donagh outfit may be slight favourites after their impressive run to the final but a Derrygonnelly win would be far from a surprise.

The match starts at 1600 BST at Brewster Park.
