Former Armagh boss Joe Kernan has been named as the new manager of Ulster in the Railway Cup.

The Crossmaglen man, who was in charge of the Armagh team which won the All-Ireland title in 2002, represented Ulster as a player.

Kernan takes over from Brian McEniff, who was manager of the Ulster team since 1982.

The Ulster hurling management team of Dominic McKinley and Terence McNaughton has been re-appointed.
