Derry beat Armagh by a point in the Allianz NHL Division 2B game at Keady.
Conor McCann's goal helped Armagh lead 1-1 to 0-0 but Derry hit 1-4 without reply, including Dermot Brunton's goal.
Armagh were only three behind in first-half injury-time but Gavin Kelly hit two goals on either side of the break to increase the lead to eight.
Declan Coulter's goal started an Armagh comeback and the sides were level with five minutes left but Ruairi Convery's eighth point ensured Derry's victory.
