Down eased to an Allianz NHL Division 2B victory over their Ulster neigbours at Ballycran on Sunday.
Armagh made a good start and led by four points before the Mourne team took control of the game.
Paul Braniff's goal helped Down to a 1-7 to 0-8 half-time advantage and the second goal came on 54 minutes with Stephen Murray's rebound finish.
Down racked up 18 points in a dominant second half and Braniff was the top scorer with 1-7.
Murray kicked the ball into the net after Brendan McGourty's shot struck the woodwork.
