John McEntee and Aaron Kernan after Crossmaglen's triumph
|
Victorious Crossmaglen captain John McEntee said that his team's tenacity had been the key to their AIB Ulster Club final triumph over St Gall's.
"We had to battle the whole way through but when it comes to battling, there's nobody better than us," said McEntee.
McEntee lauded Oisin McConville's display but he added that Cross' young players had also starred.
"The young fellows kept cool heads. CJ McGourty came on and I thought Paul McKeown did fantastically on him."

McEntee added:"It was put up up to us. St Gall's, to their credit, made it a very tough and exciting contest.
"But our young fellows worked hard. There's a lot of young fellows there who have no experience but they kept their heads."
The Crossmaglen captain acknowledged that McConville had again delivered on the "big occasion".
"When it's needed, Oisin will always pull it out of the bag. He's been injured all year and in fact, he's been fighting a bad back injury for a couple of years.
"But he'll always guarantee you a score when you need it."
