Holders Omagh CBS opened their Bank of Ireland MacRory Cup campaign by beating St Mary's Magherafelt 3-19 to 0-8.
Gary Leonard hit two of Omagh's goals in the opening round-robin game.
In Wednesday's other game, St Michael Enniskillen recovered from conceding three early goals to win 2-19 to 3-3 against St Pat's Armagh.
AP Kelly (two) and James Donnelly scored St Pat's goals while Michael McAleer and Sean McManus hit the net for St Michael's.
The Enniskillen school's goals came just before the break and they led 2-11 to 3-1 at the interval.
Two other games take place this week.
On Friday (1030 GMT) St Patrick's Maghera face St Colman's Newry at Cookstown while Saturday's game at Lordship in Louth (1100) sees St Macartan's Monaghan up against Abbey CBS.
