Only two players from Ulster counties have been named in the Opel 2006 Gaelic Players Association team of the year.
Ronan Clarke is one of the four player of the year nominees
Fermanagh's Barry Owens gets the full-back jersey while Armagh's Ronan Clarke is picked at left full-forward.
All-Ireland winners Kerry dominate with six men - Marc O Se, Tom O'Sullivan, Seamus Moynihan, Aidan O'Mahony, Darragh O Se and Kieran Donaghy.
Mayo and Dublin both have three representatives while Cork's Nicholas Murphy also makes the team.
Dublin's trio are Stephen Cluxton, Bryan Cullen and Alan Brogan while the Mayo players earning recognition are Alan Dillon, Ciaran McDonald and Conor Mortimer.
Eleven Ulsterman had been among the 45 nominees for the awards.
Clarke was joined by his county colleagues Francie Bellew, Aaron Kernan, Ciaran McKeever, Paul McGrane and Steven McDonnell while Donegal trio Karl Lacey, Barry Dunnion and Rory Kavanagh plus Derry's Paddy Bradley were also nominated.
The selection committee which decided upon the nominations was made up of BBC GAA pundit Martin McHugh plus Tony Davis, Kevin O'Brien and chairman John O'Mahoney.
O' Mahony said that selecting the nominations for these awards had been "really difficult".
"Perceptions can change over the course of a single game yet I am happy that the team chosen by the GPA membership reflects well on the football," said the former Galway manager.
