GAA carries on despite Ryder Cup

The staging of Ireland's biggest ever sporting event hasn't stopped county GAA finals being scheduled for Sunday.

In the Armagh SFC final, Crossmaglen have home advantage for their game against Clan na Gael (1545 BST).

Ederney face Enniskillen in the Fermanagh final at Lisnaskea (1600) while Carrickmore take on Errigal Ciaran in Tyrone at Omagh (1530).

In the Derry semis, it's Glenullin v Loup at Swatragh (1430) and Ballinderry v Slaughtneil at Maghera (1730).

The Down hurling final also takes place on Sunday with Ballycran facing Portaferry who knocked out last year's Ulster Club Champions Ballygalget in the semi-finals.

There is also football and hurling action in Antrim.

On Saturday, Lamh Dhearg take on Rasharkin in the opening Antrim football quarter final at Casement Park (1700).

Sunday's Antrim SFC quarter-finals see St Enda's taking on Cargin at Casement Park and Portglenone facing St Pauls at Glenravel (1700).

In the Antrim hurling championship, Loughgiel face St John's in the opening semi-final at Casement (1600) while there is also a round-robin game at Dunloy between the host club at St Gall's (1400).

There is also action in the Monaghan football championship on Saturday with Latton facing Magheracloone at Castleblayney (1730) and Scotstown meeting Truagh at Emyvale (1730).
