ALL-IRELAND QUALIFIER

Derry blew a four-point half-time lead to crash out of the All-Ireland with Laois winning 1-11 to 0-11 to clinch a quarter-final meeting with Armagh.
The Oak Leafers were sitting pretty at 0-08 to 0-04 but a Billy Sheehan goal early in the second half swung the contest in favour of the Leinster team.
The match was level six times but Derry managed only three points after the break, Laois adding a goal and seven.
Paddy Bradley top-scored for Derry with four points.
Laois had edged ahead 0-3 to 0-2 early in the game but Derry then rattled over six without reply to hold a five-point advantage.
A Padraig Clancy point clipped the lead to four although Laois were ruing four missed free by Ross Munnelly.
Derry must have been thinking about a crack at Ulster Champions Armagh in the last eight but they crumbled as Laois produced another strong second-half display.
The all-important goal came on 42 minutes as Stephen Kelly's perfectly-weighted pass paved the way for Noel Garvan to square for Billy Sheehan to hand the ball into the net from in front of goal.
Stephen Kelly and Gary Kanavangh added Laois points and, although Patsy Bradley and Mark Lynch pointed for the Ulsterman, Billy Sheehan brought the scores level again at 1-07 to 0-10.
In the closing stages it was virtually all Laois with Mick O'Dwyer's lads pointing twice through Munnelly with other scores from Donal Brennan and Garvan.
A Paddy Bradley free was Derry's only other score of a disappointing second half, and the last of their 2005 Championship campaign.
