Leinster make the better start in Paris with Alan Brogan rifling in a goal in the first attack of the match in the second minute. Ulster continue to struggle and Leinster lead 1-2 to 0-0 after 14 minutes. Leinster continue to the look better side and extend their lead to 1-5 to 0-2 at half-time. Ulster's team first half scores both come from Derryman Paddy Bradley. Brogan has hit 1-2 of Leinster's first half total while Kildare's John Doyle has notched two frees. Ulster hit back immediately in the second half with Dan Gordon stabbing the ball to the net from close range after Leinster goalkeeper Derek Connaughton drops a high ball. Stephen O'Neill then hits three points for Tyrone while Sean Cavanagh and Brian Dooher are among the scores as Ulster take complete control. Ulster lead 1-13 to 1-6 with less than five minutes remaining. A crowd of less than 1,000 people are watching the contest at the Stade Yves du Manoir.
