The Tyrone and Down Senior Football Finals are the main events on another busy weekend of club GAA action.

Dromore will aim for their first ever Tyrone senior title when the take on Carrickmore at Omagh on Sunday.

The Down decider has a novel pairing with favourites Mayobridge taking on Division Two side Annaclone on Sunday.

On Saturday, holders Kevin Lynch's face Slaughtneil in the Derry hurling final while there is football semi-final action in Armagh and Fermanagh.

In Armagh, Harps face Mullaghbawn in Sunday's first semi-final at Keady while the Crossmaglen v Dromintee encounter follows at Carrickcruppin.

The Fermanagh action sees Teemore and Derrygonnelly clashing in a semi-final replay on Saturday with a place in the decider against holders Enniskillen up for grabs.

But the main action will be at Omagh and Newry.

Dromore claimed the Tyrone league title last year and their fans feel that the St Dympna's line-up is well-placed to claim the big prize in Red Hand county club football.

The St Dympna's outfit really showed their intent this year by comfortably accounting for Ardboe, who had earlier dumped out Errigal Ciaran from the competition.

Dromore include county stars Ryan McMenamin, Colm McCullagh and Barry Collins although the team has managed to put together impressive form in the league this season minus the trio.

Carrickmore, managed by former Fermanagh boss Dominic Corrigan, include Tyrone star Conor Gormley while other key Carmen players include ex-Red Hand stars Brian Gormley and Ciaran Loughran plus Mark Donnelly, who hit 2-4 in the semi-final win over holders Killyclogher.

In the Down decider, Mayobridge will be strong favourites to beat Annaclone despite the unavailability of injured men Michael Walsh and Ronan Sexton.

After beating Clonduff and Kilcoo in the earlier rounds, Mayobridge looked to have tough semi-final opponents in Liatroim but Mickey Linden's side claimed a comfortable 2-12 to 1-8 win.

Annaclone's victims on their way to the decider have included Downpatrick, Castlewellan and An Riocht.

The Division Two outfit's key men include the Fegan brothers Aidan and Colin and attacking half-back John Haughey.

In the Derry hurling final, Kevin Lynch's will be aiming to win back-to-back titles for the first time since 1982.

As ever, Geoffrey McGonigle's performance will be vital for the Dungiven side while Paul Farren is another player capable of contributing crucial scores for the holders.

As in the semi-final, injury is likely to restrict former Ulster hurler of the year Co McEldowney to a substitute's role for Slaughtneil while the team will rely heavily on Dermot Doherty for scores.

Peadar Quigg impressed when he was introduced as a sub for Slaughtneil in the semi-final win over Ballinascreen and could start Saturday's final.

Kevin Lynch's won their semi-final over Lavey 11 weeks ago so they may have worries about their lack of recent competitive match practice.
