Derry fail to stop Offaly

Derry put on a brave performance against Offaly

Final Score: Derry 2-17 Offaly 2-23

Derry produced one of the best displays from an Ulster side to run Offaly close in the All Ireland quarterfinal.

Offaly finished winners by six points on a score of 2-23 to 2-17 but they were given a few shocks by Derry.

Second-half goals from Derry's Man of the Match Mickey Collins and Geoffrey McGonigle helped level the scores with 12 minutes to go at Croke Park.

When Brendan Murphy scored his second goal, Offaly's win was secure but Derry will take all the plaudits.

All-Ireland Minor Quarterfinal, Croke Park

Antrim 0-11 Dublin 3-13

Three second-half goals sent Dublin into the All Ireland Minor semifinals as Antrim's challenge faded.

The Ulster side started well and they only trailed 0.8 to 0.6 at halftime but the Dubs took their chances after the break and finished as 11 point winners.
