Donegal and Down game postponed
Groundsmen try to drain the flooded Ballybofey pitch on SUnday morning
Groundsmen try to drain the Ballybofey pitch
Sunday's Ulster Championship first round match between Down and Donegal has been postponed.

Heavy rain has led to the pitch at Ballybofey becoming waterlogged.

The game has been rescheduled for next Sunday at 1530 at the same venue.

The pitch was under water at one stage on Sunday morning which forced the cancellation of the minor game between Down and Cavan.

Desite frantic work by the ground staff, officials had no option but to call both games off.

An alternative venue for the minor game was being sought by officials at one stage but it will also take place next Sunday at Ballybofey before the Donegal-Down clash.
