Whites take First Division crown
Manager Paul Kirk guided Distillery back to the top flight at the first attempt
Paul Kirk's Lisburn Distillery topped the First Division

Lisburn Distillery 2-0 Armagh City

Glenn Hunter scored two late goals to clinch the First Division championship for Lisburn Distillery.

The Whites had already secured a first-time return to the Premiership.

But they needed victory over Armagh in the final game to lift the championship ahead of also-promoted Institute.

They were held up for 77 minutes by Armagh.

'Good goals'

But then Hunter eventually ended the stalemate, and quickly added another in the 79th minute to seal the title for the New Grosvenor outfit.

"At one stage I thought it was not going to be our day," said Distillery boss Paul Kirk.

"But then Glenn turned up trumps for us by scoring two good goals.

"Glenn has scored goals throughout his career and he has certainly done so for us."
