Glenavon end on a high
Glenavon's goal was a 55th minute header by Dean Smith
Dean Smith scored Glenavon's equaliser against Ards

Ards 1-2 Glenavon

Glenavon ended their disappointing season on a brighter note with back-to-back wins.

Last Saturday they defeated outgoing champions Linfield 2-0.

And on Thursday they completed their league programme by beating bottom club Ards at Mourneview.

However, Colin Malone's men had to come from behind to secure victory as Paul Curran shot Ards into a 15th minute lead.

Dean Smith headed the Lurgan sided level on 55 minutes, scoring at the back post after a free-kick by Gerard McMahon.

Then Marc McCann netted the winner in the 72nd minute, turning to net with a right-foot shot.
