West Brom release Quinn
James Quinn's international career has also stalled over the last two years
James Quinn was recently on loan at Bristol Rovers
Promoted West Brom have released Northern Ireland international James Quinn.

The former Blackpool striker has been out of favour at the Hawthorns for the past 18 months.

He was transfer-listed by the club in January 2001 and had loan spells this season with Notts County and Bristol Rovers.

The striker spent the last month of the season with Rovers.

Quinn now has the task of trying to find a new club.

He burst on the international scene by scoring a tremendous goal for Northern Ireland in a friendly against Belgium in 1997.

However, Quinn's career has also stalled at international level over the last two years, his last appearance coming as a substitute in Malta last October.

Quinn moved to West Brom from Blackpool for 500,000 in 1998.
