Guinness All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Final Replay:
Tipperary 3-12 0-10 Wexford

Tipperary made no mistake at the second time of asking in Saturday's All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Final replay against Wexford at Croke Park.

The Munster champions led from start to finish in a clash which will be remembered for dreadful conditions and three red cards.

The dismissal came on the half-hour with Wexford's Liam Dunne and Tipp's Brian O'Meara first to depart after a clash.

Dunne and O'Meara were perhaps unlucky to be red-carded but Mitch Jordan, who was dismissed seconds later, can no have complaints.

Jordan struck at the ankles of a Tipperary defender and referee Pat Horan had no hesitation is showing another red card.

The match started with rain sheeting down and the first score didn't come until the 10th minute.

Crucially, however the score was a Tipperary goal with John Farrell kicking past Damian Fitzhenry in the Wexford goal.

Paul Codd's free-taking kept Wexford in the match during the first half and Tipp were only a point ahead at the interval.

However Tipperary's numerical advantage began to tell in the third quarter.

Wexford didn't score again until 19 minutes into the second half and by that stage, Tipperary were out of sight.

Substitute Eugene O'Neill had notched Tipperary's second goal.

The same player hit Tipp's third goal in injury-time as they completed a comprehensive victory.

Eoin Kelly scored nine points for the winners while that fact that seven of Wexford's 10 scores came from Codd frees, told a tale.

Tipperary await the winners of Sunday's second semi-final between Kilkenny and Galway.

Meanwhile, Enniskillen Gaels defeated Lisnaskea 1-18 to 0-12 in Saturday's Harp Lager Fermanagh Football Quarter-Final.

The other three quarter-finals take place on Sunday.
