McGurk injury woe
![]() Paul McGurk was injured in Tyrone's win over Armagh
Tyrone corner-back Paul McGurk is almost certain to miss the remainder of the championship.
A MRI scan on Thursday showed that McGurk had picked up a cruciate ligament injury in Sunday's Ulster quarter-final win over Armagh. He is likely to be out of football for at least six months. Tyrone take on either Derry or Antrim in the Ulster semi-final on 17 June. The news, meanwhile, concerning Armagh star forward Diarmuid Marsden is more encouraging. Marsden is expected to line out for his club Clan na Gael against Pearse Og in the Armagh Championship quarter-finals on Sunday evening. The Allstar forward was substituted late in Sunday's match because of an ankle problem. Meanwhile, Donaghmore defeated Trillick 2-12 to 0-10 in Friday evening's Tyrone Championship clash at Carrickmore.
