Ciaran McBride has made an unexpectedly quick recovery from illness and will be available for Tyrone's Ulster Championship clash with Armagh on Sunday.

Reports last week suggested that McBride was almost certainly out of the match because of a viral infection.

However, Tyrone joint-manager Art McCrory told BBC Sport Online on Monday that McBride would be available for the Clones contest.

The Red Hand county will be without injured pair Seamus McCallan and Ciaran Gourlay.

McCallan has a leg injury while Gourlay had surgery on a finger problem recently.

Colin Holmes and Cormac McGinley are also doubtful because of injury.

Holmes has an ankle injury while McGinley has knee trouble.

Paddy McKeever: Unlikely to play

Art McCrory acknowledges he is concerned that the county haven't played a competitive match since 25 February.

"We've only had one challenge since then. A game against Sligo a week and a half ago which we won by a point or two.

"We would be a bit worried about the lack of match practice," said McCrory.

Meanwhile, Armagh fringe player Des Macken is out of contention because of a neck injury while Paddy McKeever is also extremely doubtful for the match because of a shoulder problem.

Macken picked up his injury in a recent club match for his Dublin team Na Fianna.

Armagh secretary Paddy Nugent rates McKeever's chances of being involved as "90/10 against".

Meanwhile, the draw for the Armagh Senior Football Championship quarter-finals has been made.

The draw is: Pearse Ogs v Clan na Gael, Crossmaglen v Maghery, Dromintee v St Michael's, Silverbridge v Culloville.
