Dani Sordo has been retained by Citroen to drive alongside double world rally champion Sebastien Loeb next season.
Sordo has made an immediate impact in the WRC's elite class
The 23-year-old, world junior champion last year, has been driving a Citroen for Belgian team Kronos this season.
The Spaniard will now continue to race alongside Frenchman Loeb as Citroen Sport's second driver in 2007.
Sordo has been a revelation this season, earning three podium finishes to leave him lying third in the standings with five races left.
Only Loeb and Finn Marcus Gronholm, also a double world champion, sit above him.
Citroen return to the WRC fray after a year's absence in 2007, with the C4 replacing the Xsara.
"The Xsara years are about to end and I am counting on everyone at Citroen Sport to make the C4 era just as glorious," said Citroen Sport director Guy Frequelin.
