Loeb celebrates his 10th victory of the season in Catalunya
Reigning world champion Sebastien Loeb of France will drive a Citroen Xsara for the Belgian team Kronos in the 2006 World Rally Championship.

Citroen, his current team, announced last year it would not be competing in 2006 because of escalating costs.

But after talks with the sport's governing body, the International Automobile Federation, the French company said it would return in 2007.

Loeb won 10 rallies for Citroen in 2005 to win his second straight world title.

Citroen added that French teams Oreca and PH Sport will also be allowed to run Citroen Xsara world rally cars in various championships next year.

It was also announced that Spaniard Xavier Pons would be one of Loeb's team mates at Kronos.
