Dudley Heathens complete full transfer of Jon Armstrong

Dudley Heathens have confirmed Jon Armstrong is now a full club asset after completing his move from Newport.

Armstrong, 36, rode with the Heathens last season as the club made their return to the sport after a 15-year absence and will be captain for 2011.

"Dudley was the first-choice club for me, it was so amazing to be a part of it last year," said Armstrong.

"Having ridden at the old Dudley Wood track I know all about the passion of the Cradley fans - I'm delighted."

Armstrong, whose former clubs include Belle Vue, Coventry and the Birmingham Brummies, will lead the Heathens in their opening meeting of the season at Stoke on Saturday, 9 April.
