Redcar Bears begin the defence of the Jack Young Shield with the quarter final first-leg against Reading Racers on Thursday.
Racers have the advantage having beaten a depleted Bears side 48-42 in the Premier League back in June.
Bears will have their top five back in action with Chris Kerr and Daniel Giffard back in the line-up.
The second leg of the quarter final takes place at Smallmead Stadium, Reading on Sunday, 5 October.
Meanwhile Cubs rider Benji Compton will be presented to the crowd following his Conference League Riders' Championship win at Rye House Speedway on Saturday.
The Anglo-Spanish rider won 14 points from a possible 15 to clinch the prize ahead of Scunthorpe's Byron Bekker.
