Stars complete miserable weekend

Doolan's engine failure cost the stars a win

Despite scoring nearly 90 points this weekend, the King's Lynn Stars could not manage a win.

The Stars could have topped Speedway's Premier League with a win at Scunthorpe on Friday but a succession of crashes meant the Stars were beaten 46-43.

They had the chance to put things right on Saturday against Stoke but a last-heat engine failure for Kevin Doolan left the teams level on 45-45.

The Stars are fourth in the table on 27 points, two behind leaders Edinburgh.

Their next meeting is on Wednesday 23 July against Scunthorpe Scorpions.
