The Brummies now face a heavy back-log of fixtures
|
Birmingham Brummies boss Graham Drury says the club will not suffer financially, despite their continued bad luck with the weather.
The Brummies lost their sixth meeting of the season to rain following the postponement of Wednesday's Knock-Out Cup first leg clash with Rye House.
"You budget for these things. We could do without it but we're on a very good financial footing," Drury told BBC WM.
"It won't cause us any problems and we'll fulfil our fixtures."
Drury is also taking the positives out of the Brummies' recent inactivity and thinks it could even prove to be a blessing in disguise.
"We have had a few injuries so I suppose the only saving grace is that it gives our injured riders the chance to get back," he said.
"It's unprecedented for a speedway team to have six rain-offs in May. It's very disappointing."
The first leg of the Brummies' Knock-Out Cup clash will now be at Rye House on Saturday, with the return at Perry Barr on Wednesday 25 June.
