Jason Lyons
Lyons set a new track record at Perry Barr on his way to 15 points

Birmingham skipper Jason Lyons was in unbeatable form as he inspired his team to a 52-40 win over Glasgow.

The Australian registered a 15-point maximum and also broke the track record at Perry Barr with a race victory in 57.4 seconds.

The meeting was tight through eight heats, but Lyons found vital support from Adam Roynon who added 11 points.

The victory takes the Brummies into the top half of the Premier League table five matches into the season.

Lee Smart and Henning Bager chalked up eight points apiece for the Brummies and Jack Hargreaves adding six.

Leading Glasgow was Carl Stonehewer with 14 points, as Ross Brady notched 13 and Robert Ksiezak scored nine.
