Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso have signed new contracts with the factory Honda MotoGP team. Spaniard Pedrosa, fourth in the 2009 MotoGP standings, has agreed a one-year extension which will see him riding for the team for a fifth consecutive year. Italy's Dovizioso, currently sixth, has signed for 2010 with options for 2011. "We've proved that we can beat the best in the world, and I still believe we can get to a level where we challenge at every race," said Pedrosa, 23. "That is what the whole team must work towards. I still have confidence that Honda can produce a bike that can win the world championship." Dovizioso, 23, who won his first MotoGP at Donington in July, said: "My first year as a factory rider has taught me a lot. "I'm confident that with the direction we've agreed for machine development we can reach a level where we are fighting for victory every Sunday."
