Rea makes World Superbike switch

Jonathan Rea is 11 points behind series leader Andrew Pitt

Jonathan Rea will ride for the HannSpree Ten Kate Honda team in the World Superbike Championship next year.

The Ballyclare man has signed a three-year deal with the Dutch outfit and is set to partner Ryuichi Kiyonari and Carlos Checa in the Superbikes.

Rea is just 11 points behind team-mate Andrew Pitt in the World Supersport series, with just three races to go.

He has three wins to his name this year, in the Czech Republic, at Brands Hatch and at Vallelunga.
