Eugene Laverty won a thrilling battle with rival Cal Crutchlow to win the fourth round of the British Supersport series at Oulton Park on Monday.
The Honda rider from Toomebridge now leads Crutchlow by a point in the overall championship standings.
"I can't believe I've won two races in a row and it is great to go into my home race at Mondello Park as championship leader," said Laverty.
Ian Lowry from Lisburn was sixth on his TAS Suzuki.
John Laverty crashed out while leading the Superstock race and in Superbikes, Jonathan Rea was eighth in race one and fourth in race two, with Michael Laverty 11th in both.
Rea crossed the line third in the second Superbike race but the Red Bull Honda rider was later relegated to fourth after the stewards adjudged that he had gained an advantage by going on to the grass at the chicane on the final lap.
Both Superbike races were won by Gregorio Lavilla, taking his tally of successes this season to six.
Adrian Coates failed to finish the Superstock event after holding on to to fifth position and BJ Toal finished fifth in the Virgin Mobile Cup.
