Alex Hofmann
RIDER PROFILE
Alex Hofman
Born: 23/5/80
Nationality: German
Team: Kawasaki
2005 position: 19th
Alex Hofmann provided one of the more absurd moments of the season when he broke his wrist falling off his bike at 25mph in a pre-race parade in Portugal.

That was the most memorable thing the former Kawasaki test rider contributed to the MotoGP season, where his best finish was eighth, at Donington.

Another spill in Japan saw him break bones in his left ankle, ruling him out of five more races.

Hoffman's second season at Kawasaki was no more impressive than his first.
