Thoughts of his Italian heritage have stirred Scot Di Resta

Paul di Resta is preparing for an "emotional" first Italian Grand Prix this weekend. The Scotland-born Force India driver says: "Some races definitely feel a bit more special and that's the case with Italy. l've got family living there and some Italian blood in me."

Renault technical director James Allison has been explaining the team's final development push for the remaining seven races of the season. "We have an upgrade package to deliver for Monza - like everyone we will have a low downforce package and we will also bring upgraded bodywork - and then one more at Singapore," he says. "After that it will reduce to a trickle as we focus all of our efforts on next year."

Pirelli have recommended that teams run a reduced camber limit for this weekend's Italian Grand Prix after several teams took their tyres to the limit at Spa. Pirelli have suggested the amount of camber - or lean away from vertical - teams run is 3.75 degress at Monza, a reduction of the 4 degrees suggested in Belgium.

Team Lotus driver Heikki Kovalainen opts for a spot off golf to get himself in the swing for the Italian GP. The Finn writes on Twitter: "My legs feel stiff like iron bars, been training too much, off to range to get going again, no workouts today."
