FIA race director Charlie Whiting visited the new Indian Grand Prix track on Thursday. Vicky Chandhok, president of India's motorsport authority, the FMSCI, said Whiting had "stated that progress was more than satisfactory and exceeded expectations from when he last visited the site. He also expressed confidence that the inaugural Indian Grand Prix will be a huge success". The event is due to be held on 30 October. (FMSCI)
