Hamilton has concerns about the new Pirelli tyres this season

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton has warned that the new Pirelli tyres will make the cars slower this season. The 2008 World Champion told the Guardian newspaper: "I did run the other day and it was painfully slow, it really was. Just not exciting, to be honest."

Former Ferrari technical chief Ross Brawn made an estimated total of nearly £100m from the sale of the F1 team he and four others bought from Honda for just £1 in 2009, accounts reveal.

Vitantonio Liuzzi is close to securing the final race seat, at Hispania, on the 2011 grid. That is the claim of the Spanish newspaper AS, despite Liuzzi's former Red Bull teammate Christian Klien claiming on Sunday that he is still in the running.

Red Bull will not change their pre-season testing schedule to mirror rivals Ferrari, Mercedes and Williams. The Formula 1 constructors' champions will run from Tuesday to Friday in Barcelona this week, while Ferrari, Mercedes and Williams will run from Wednesday to Saturday.

Jenson Button, who is dating model Jessica Michibata, doesn't plan on having children until his racing days are over. The 31-year-old wants to be a Dad, but believes the responsibility would make him think twice about pushing a car to the limit.
