Next season's Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli say they want to keep test driver Nick Heidfeld despite his deal to drive for Sauber in the final five races of 2010. Heidfeld will continue his testing commitments with Pirelli in Jerez this week.

The FIA has postponed its final inspection of the Korea circuit until 28 September because of a national holiday. The final inspection will take place just 23 days before the Korean Grand Prix weekend begins on 21 October.

Kimi Raikkonen has approached Renault about the possibility of returning to Formula 1 in 2011. Team boss Eric Boullier confirmed that the 2007 world champion, who is competing in the World Rally Championship this season, is on their radar but added incumbent driver Vitaly Petrov is still their first option.
