Driver Sebastian Vettel has christened his Red Bull for this season 'Luscious Liz'. The superstitious 22-year-old has driven 'Kate' and 'Julie' in previous campaigns.

Ferrari's Fernando Alonso has also been talking about Michael Schumacher's comeback, saying the 41-year-old will be "as controversial as ever".

Formula 1's commercial rights controller Bernie Ecclestone is also sceptical as to whether the German can add to his seven Championship wins.

But Schumacher is confident that he and his Mercedes team will be in the Championship running by the end of the season, even if they might struggle at the start.

Research by supplier Bridgestone suggests BMW Sauber could enjoy an advantage over Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull and Mercedes as their car preserves its tyres better than the top four teams.
