Formula 1 hopefuls Stefan GP plan to test their new car in Portugal this month in readiness for any withdrawals by other teams from the 2010 F1 line-up.

In a statement on their website, the team said they are also shipping a container of equipment to Bahrain ahead of the first race of the season on 14 March.

"Identity of drivers will be announced in due course. First driver has already two years in F1," it added.

Japan's Kazuki Nakajima, who raced with Williams for two seasons before being dropped at the end of 2009, has been linked to the outfit who are run out of Toyota's Cologne factory in Germany.
