Coulthard vows to improve
David Coulthard testing the McLaren MP4-19
Winter testing has been going well for Coulthard
David Coulthard has pledged to take a more aggressive approach in his final year with McLaren this season.

The Scot will be replaced by Williams star Juan Pablo Montoya in 2005.

"I plan to be more proactive rather than just going through the testing programme and turning up at the race hoping it will be OK," he said.

"It is just a case of doing my homework and learning from the mistakes of previous races," the 32-year-old told Autosport magazine.

"As a driver you're on your own in the car, so I will be using those areas within McLaren that can help develop my technique," he added.
