All the action as it happened from the qualifying session for Sunday's British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

1400: Michael Schumacher is quick around the first section. But he is unable to match Juan Pablo Montoya, who grabs his fourth consecutive pole, and has to settle for third fastest behind team-mate Rubens Barrichello.
1359: From absolutely nowhere Williams' Juan Pablo Montoya looks to have snatched it in the last few seconds as he records a lap of 1:18.998.
1359: Juan Pablo Montoya stakes his claim with a quick second section, but he is still down on the Ferraris.
1357: Current leader Rubens Barrichello and team-mate Michael Schumacher make their move.
1355: There is still no sign of Michael Schumacher, who is currently lying in second place behind Rubens Barrichello.
1352: Rubens Barrichello is still quickest ahead of Ferrari team-mate Michael Schumacher with just eight minutes remaining in the session. The Williams are occupying the second row as things stand, with the two McLaren drivers in the third row.
1351: McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen is the third driver to be forced into switching to the spare car.
1350: Jordan's Giancarlo Fisichella, who is also in the spare car, is down in 17th place.
1349: Jenson Button, in the spare Renault after his early engine troubles, moves into 11th.
1348: Things are beginning to hot up as Ralf Schumacher improves his time. He is still down on the Ferraris but just 0.297 behind leader Rubens Barrichello. Juan Pablo Montoya goes into fourth.
1346: With just 14 minutes left Rubens Barrichello produces a stunning second half to record the fastest time of 1:19.032. He is 0.010 quicker than Michael Schumacher.
1343: Ferrari's Michael Schumacher improves his time, recording a lap of 1:19.042. It is 0.449secs quicker than his previous time and strengthens Ferrari's grip.
1341: Eddie Irvine improves to 14th place with a time of 1:21.851. The leader Michael Schumacher begins his second lap.
1339: Nick Heidfeld of Sauber moves into eighth place with a time of 1:21.187secs.
1338: Jaguar's Eddie Irvine can only manage 19th fastest.
1337: David Coulthard improves on his sixth place as he moves into fourth with his second lap. He is still 0.887 down on the leader.
1333: Rubens Barrichello's second lap sees him overtake Ralf Schumacher for second quickest. He is just 0.133secs down on his team-mate and early leader Michael Schumacher.
1331: Ralf Schumacher goes into second place with a time of 1:19.921 - 0.430secs down on Michael Schumacher.
1329: Juan Pablo Montoya completes his first lap and goes second quickest, but he is 1.011secs down on early leader Michael Schumacher.
1327: There is car trouble for Jenson Button and Giancarlo Fisichella on their opening lap. Smoke comes from the back of Button's Renault and he is forced to revert to the spare car.
1326: Kimi Raikkonen goes slightly quicker than his McLaren team-mate David Coulthard and into second place, but he is 1.104secs down on Schumacher.
1324: David Coulthard completes his first lap and he is second quickest, but he is over a second down on Schumacher.
1323: Mika Salo goes quicker than Bernoldi but he it is not long before Schumacher gets his name at the top of the list with a lap of 1:19.491 - a record for the new circuit.
1322: Mark Webber is 0.2secs down on Bernoldi's time.
1320: Ferrari's Michael Schumacher comes out for his first lap.
1318: Bernoldi sets a time of 1:23.135 - suggesting that the track is running a little slow. Yoong is almost three seconds slower.
1315: Arrows driver Enrique Bernoldi is the first driver to come out. Alex Yoong of Minardi soon joins him on the track.
1310: Ten minutes into the session and there is still no sign of any drivers making it out onto the Silverstone circuit. With some dampness still on the track the drivers are biding their time before making their move.
1300: The hour-long qualifying session gets underway. The conditions at Silverstone are dry, but a little overcast.
Rubens Barrichello set the fastest time in Saturday's free practice session, ousting Ferrari team-mate Michael Schumacher towards the end of practice after the German had led for most of the two sessions.
